By accessing this website, purchasing services, or engaging in coaching through Overlap Running, you agree to these Terms.

Terms and Conditions

1. About Overlap Running

Overlap Running provides virtual running coaching, education, and related digital content. Services may include individualized training plans, performance analysis, ongoing coaching communication, and educational resources. All services are delivered remotely.

Overlap Running is a coaching service, not a medical provider.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, scheduling services, purchasing coaching, or downloading any materials, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or services.

3. Coaching Services & Scope

Coaching services are designed to support your running goals through guidance, education, and training structure. Coaching is collaborative and adaptive, but results are not guaranteed. Athletic performance, race outcomes, and injury prevention vary from person to person.

Specific details regarding:

  • Coaching duration

  • Pricing

  • Payment schedules

  • Cancellations

  • Refunds

  • Pauses or changes to service

are not governed by this page and instead are outlined in a separate coaching contract signed by both parties prior to the start of services.

Once a contract is signed, its terms may not be changed unless both parties agree to and sign a new contract.

4. Medical Disclaimer

Overlap Running does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Coaching services are not a substitute for professional medical care.

You are responsible for:

  • Consulting with a physician before beginning or continuing any training program

  • Ensuring you are medically cleared for physical activity

  • Seeking medical attention for pain, injury, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms

Always listen to your body and prioritize your health. 

5. Assumption of Risk

Running and physical training involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, or other physical complications.

By participating in coaching services, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks and agree that participation is at your own discretion.

6. Client Responsibilities

To maintain a safe and effective coaching relationship, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health, injury, and training history

  • Communicate pain, fatigue, injury, or concerns promptly

  • Modify or stop training if something feels unsafe

  • Use coaching guidance as educational support, not medical instruction

You remain fully responsible for your training decisions and actions.

7. No Guarantees

Overlap Running does not guarantee specific results, including race outcomes, personal records, or injury prevention. Coaching is a supportive process, and outcomes depend on many factors beyond coaching alone.

8. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Overlap Running—including training plans, written materials, PDFs, blog posts, educational resources, and website content—is the intellectual property of Overlap Running.

Materials are provided for personal use only. You may not copy, distribute, sell, share, or reproduce content without written permission.

9. Communication Boundaries

Coaching communication occurs through agreed-upon channels and within reasonable timeframes. Overlap Running does not provide emergency services and is not available 24/7.

For urgent medical concerns, contact a healthcare provider or emergency services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Overlap Running shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in coaching services or use of this website.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Overlap Running from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your participation in services, misuse of materials, or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination of Services

Overlap Running reserves the right to terminate services if continuation would be unsafe, unethical, or incompatible with a productive coaching relationship. Contract-specific termination details are addressed in the signed coaching agreement.

13. Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how data is collected, used, and protected.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Overlap Running operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

Overlap Running may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
